General

What is Meridian Media?

An online service for downloading video, audio and photos by link. It works on meridianload.net and in the Telegram bot @MeridianDownBot. Learn more on the “What is Meridian” page.

Is it free?

Yes. Downloading on the site is free and needs no sign-up. The bot is free too, with a daily limit; the Meridian VIP subscription in the bot removes the limit and ads.

How much does Meridian VIP cost and how do I pay?

Meridian VIP costs 50 ₽ for 30 days (or 30 Telegram Stars, or $1 in USDT). Open the @MeridianVipBot bot and choose the plan and a payment method: SBP (Faster Payments System), bank card, Telegram Stars or cryptocurrency. VIP is activated automatically after payment; there is no auto-renewal. More details on the Pricing and payment page.

Do I need to install a program or extension?

No. The site works in any modern browser on phones and computers, and the bot works in Telegram. The service has no extensions or apps.

Which sites are supported?

YouTube, VK, TikTok, Instagram, Rutube, Dzen, Odnoklassniki, X (Twitter), Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitch, Vimeo, Dailymotion, SoundCloud, Threads, Likee and Bilibili. The full list is in the “All resources” section.

Do I need to register?

No. There are no accounts on the site: paste a link and download.

Which languages does the site support?

In 18 languages. You can change the language with the button in the header or the list in the page footer.

How to download

How do I download a video on the site?

Copy the link to the post, paste it into the field on any page of the site and choose a quality or “MP3 audio”. The file will be saved to your Downloads folder.

How can I download faster, without pasting into the field?

Type meridianload.net/ before the video address in the address bar, e.g. meridianload.net/https://youtu.be/…, and press Enter. The site opens and processes the link right away.

How do I download on iPhone?

Open the site in Safari (iOS 13 or later), paste the link and choose a quality. The file appears in the Files app → Downloads; to move it to Photos, tap Share → Save Video.

How do I download on Android?

Open the site in Chrome or another browser, paste the link and choose a quality. The file will be in Files → Downloads and usually shows up in the gallery right away. Step-by-step guide: “Download YouTube videos on Android”.

Where do I find the downloaded file?

In your browser’s downloads folder: on Android — Files → Download, on iPhone — Files → Downloads, on Windows — the Downloads folder (Ctrl+J in the browser), on Mac — Downloads in Finder.

How do I download via Telegram?

Send the link to the @MeridianDownBot bot and choose a format — the file arrives in the chat. In any other chat you can type @MeridianDownBot link and send the video straight to the person you’re talking to.

How do I choose where files are saved?

By default the browser puts files into Downloads. To make it ask every time, turn on the “Ask where to save each file” option in the browser settings.

Formats and quality

What format is the video saved in?

MP4. For YouTube and VK the service picks H.264 and AAC codecs, so the file plays on any phone, computer and TV. From TikTok and Instagram you get the platform’s original file (sometimes H.265 or VP9): modern smartphones play it, and on an older computer you can use the free VLC player.

What is the maximum quality?

Up to 2160p (4K), if the original video has it. The list of qualities and file sizes is shown before downloading.

Can I download just the audio?

Yes, choose “MP3 audio”. The sound is saved at 192 kbps.

Can I download photos and carousels?

Yes. For Instagram and TikTok photo posts the service shows a separate button for each image.

What is the difference between MP4 and MP3?

MP4 is a video file with picture and sound, MP3 is sound only. An MP3 is smaller and suits music, podcasts and lectures.

What do 1080p and 4K mean?

The number is the height of the picture in pixels: 360p suits a small window, 1080p (Full HD) a laptop or TV screen, 2160p (4K) large screens. The higher the number, the bigger the file.

Limits and errors

What are the limits on the site?

Files up to 1 GB and up to 60 files per hour from one address. Larger files — up to 2 GB — are sent by the Telegram bot.

Why won’t the video download?

Most often the post is private, deleted, available only after signing in, or restricted by the platform. Try again later or use the bot. If the error persists on a public link, let us know.

Can I download Stories, private accounts or VK music?

Not yet: this content is available only after signing in. The service never asks for your login or password.

Can I download a whole playlist?

Paste a link to a YouTube playlist or channel — the site shows the list of videos (50 per page), and each one can be downloaded as MP4 or MP3. To get the whole playlist at once, use the Telegram bot @MeridianDownBot.

What if the download was interrupted?

Most often the connection dropped. Try again — the file will be prepared anew. For large files a stable Wi-Fi connection is better.

What does the “Too many requests” error mean?

You have reached the hourly download limit for one address. Wait for the time shown in the message, or continue in the Telegram bot @MeridianDownBot.

Safety and data

Does the service store my files?

No. The file is prepared just for you and deleted right after download; if it isn’t collected, after 20 minutes.

What data does the site collect?

Technical request data and anonymized statistics via Yandex Metrica (cookies, Session Replay). Details are in the Privacy Policy.

What content can I download?

Only content you have the rights to: your own materials, freely licensed content, or content the copyright holder allows to be downloaded.
